The
Situation
Situated on the west coast of Praslin, the new
Villas de Mer occupies a prime site on the island's
longest beach, facing the islands of Cousin and
Cousine.
The
fully renovated Villas de Mer Hotel now offers
a total of 10 mini suites, all sea facing, of
which seven are located in three villas and three
are in a plantation-style house.
The
Ambiance
Part of the 'Hôtels de Charme' network of
Seychelles properties, the Villas de Mer is a
haven of peace and tranquillity, close to the
bustling heart of Grand'Anse.
Guests
can spend the day criss-crossing the island's
footpaths, visiting the Garden of Eden (Vallée
de Mai) or exploring the neighbouring islands
of Aride, Cousin, Curieuse and La Digue. Or you
can admire a beautiful sunset while enjoying a
tropical cocktail before dinner.
So
come and discover the many wonderful things that
Praslin Island has to offer.
The
Mini Suites
Freshness, eco-harmony and a tasteful blend of
colours are the key ingredients for a comfortable
stay. There are 10 spacious mini suites (with
two communicating rooms) all with sitting area,
private terrace, air conditioning, ventilators,
minibar, TV, en-suite bathroom with bath/shower,
hair dryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Most
bedrooms can accommodate up to two adults and
one or two children
The
Commodities
You can enjoy excellent Creole and European dishes
at the seaview beach restaurant, which is managed
by Lydia Lablache, of the Britannia Hotel, also
known for its good cuisine. On the beach, a kiosk
offers fresh locally caught fish, snacks and salads.
Sports
and excursions (with supplement) can be organised
on request at nearby establishments. They include
deepsea fishing, scuba diving and excursions to
neighbouring islands. There is free transport
to all of the island's scuba diving centres.
The
Villa de Mer is only five minutes by car from
the Lémuria Hotel, where the island's only
18-hole golf course is located.
Seaweed
is removed daily from the beaches during the South
East Monsoon (May to October). There is free transport
to Anse Volbert and Anse Lazio beaches.
